Dirty Frag: Linux Kernel LPE Threatens Cloud AI Infrastructure

Summary: Wiz Research disclosed Dirty Frag — CVE-2026-43284 (CVSS 8.8) and CVE-2026-43500 (CVSS 7.8) — a chained Linux kernel privilege escalation exploitable by any unprivileged local user to reach root deterministically, without race conditions or kernel panics. Microsoft Threat Intelligence confirmed active exploitation as of May 8. The flaw corrupts the shared kernel page cache, meaning a containerized AI workload can escape its container boundary and gain root over the entire GPU cluster host.
