The CSA Valid-AI-ted Scorer is an AI-assisted workflow that assesses the quality and internal consistency of completed CAIQ (Cloud Controls Matrix) and AI-CAIQ (AI Controls Matrix) questionnaires using CSA’s Valid-AI-ted scoring methodology. It runs inside your own ChatGPT or Claude environment and produces a scored Excel workbook and a PDF summary report.
1. Download the scorer
Download CSA Valid-AI-ted Scorer v1.1.0
The download is a single file, caiq-scorer-v1.1.0.zip (2.0 MB). It is the complete scorer, ready to upload as a skill. Keep it compressed; you do not need to unzip it for installation.

2. Choose your AI assistant
The scorer uses the open SKILL.md skill format, which both ChatGPT and Claude support on eligible plans. Your platform must be able to run code and create files to produce the workbook and PDF.
Claude
Upload the scorer as a skill in Customize → Skills. Available on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.
Claude setup →ChatGPT
Upload the scorer as a skill on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Healthcare and Edu plans, or use a single-chat method on other plans.
ChatGPT setup →3. Score a questionnaire
- Start a new chat with the scorer installed (or, for ChatGPT single-chat use, with the scorer files attached).
- Attach your completed CAIQ or AI-CAIQ questionnaire (the Excel file).
- Paste this prompt:
Use the CSA Valid-AI-ted Scorer to assess this completed questionnaire. Confirm the CCM or AICM version, score every applicable question, and produce a scored Excel workbook and summary PDF.
- Confirm the exact CCM or AICM version when asked. AICM 1.0.x and 1.1.x control IDs differ, so the version matters.
- Download the scored Excel workbook and the summary PDF. File generation depends on your AI platform’s capabilities; if no files appear, ask for them explicitly.
4. Understand your results
Each question is scored from 0 to 4. Domain and overall results are unweighted averages, and a domain or overall score of 50% or higher is a PASS for response quality.
5. Need help?
See the release notes and FAQ, or email support@cloudsecurityalliance.org with your AI assistant, scorer version and framework version. Installation instructions on this site are updated independently of the scorer, so you do not need a new download when only the instructions change.
